Tumblr Submit Feature

Tumblr submit feature is a very popular function (initially only for pro services) that allows people to add content to your blog, of course, you can deny or approve the content submitted, if approved then this content will turn into a post.

Tumblr Submit Screen

Tumblr Submit Posts.

  • All submissions made will go to your messages page.
  • To enable submissions you need to go to Customize >>>> Community >>> and Let people Submit Posts
  • You can further customize your submit page by enabling or disabling different types of posts or writing down the guidelines

NOTE:  If you are still wondering why, after enabling the service, nothing shows up in your tumblelog, is because you need something to show to people that you actually have that service, though is always located in any tumblelog here example.tumblr.com/submit.

HI! I’m trying to add this feature to my tumblr blog, but i think since I’m using a custom theme, i can’t find the “community” in the Customize section. Nether do i find “enable Submissions”, someone wrote that i should be able to find this in the customize section as well.

    All help is greatly appreciated

It’s actually moved locations since this was published.

How to turn on Submit on your blog:
    1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard. Click the little gear icon.
    2. Under the list on the left, click the name of your blog (has your icon, too)
    3. Scroll down to Submissions and then checkmark the option “Let people submit posts”, make sure the photo option is checkmarked below that.

    Mr. Tumblr Reply:

    Thanks for the update.
