Tumblr Reblog Button Isn’t Showing

Chelsea Asked:

Hi, my reblog button isn’t showing along with the others buttons that should be up there along with it. Whenever I go to someone’s tumblr in the corner it says: “Follow” and “Join Tumblr” and this is while I am logged in. Most of the people I reblog, I follow. The only way I can post pictures is if I find them myself or if there is a picture I like from someone else’s page; I have to save that picture, upload as my own but link the person’s blog under the picture. It’s really frustrating, and I was wonder is there anything you can do to fix it. If not, I may have to delete my account and I don’t want that.

Chelsea, you’ve probably made some changes in your theme that remove the code necessary to show the reblog button. This is the same code that makes the follow button appear, read the tutorial after the link and, just in case your reblog button is still missing, just install an official theme from tumblr garden and we guarantee that you will get your reblog button back.

My followers keep asking why there is no reblog link on my actualy tumblr. I found the article on tumblring.net about adding a ‘likes’ count and the one about adding an actual reblog button, but i was wondering how you get juts the plain old link that sits under the photo/post, sometimes saying permalink, and when you click on it it comes up with the post and the reblog button in the top right-hand corner? Shouldn’t there just be a code you put in before the end tags? Please help!!

On Tumblr there is the feature to reblog, but someone just pointed out to me that they can’t reblog on my Tumblr. Normally, a post when clicked will redirect you to that posts’ individual page that’ll show you the post itself and it’s notes along with the reblog feature in the corner.

Sometimes you can click the picture itself or there will be a little icon like a diamond or a cross that leads you to the notes page. Mine doesn’t have that and I’m not sure if it’s something I’m doing wrong while posting or if I have to add the little icon.

    What should I do?

On my blog, the reblog button just disappeared. It did that when I first made my tumblr then when I changed it you could actually see the reblog button. It didn’t even show up the dashboard before. Well now it’s doing that again. It’s really irritating. No one can reblog my stuff. They can’t even like it. All it says on the dashboard is “Delete” and “Edit”. That’s all. It doesn’t even show a reblog button when you go on my tumblr blog…. Please fix? :)
