Best Poll Widgets for Tumblr

  1. PollDaddy. Needs you to sign up first before letting you create an account. This is by far the most popular Tumblr Poll. If you need to save the data this might be the best option, since it has a control panel to track your polls and surveys, also its the nicest looking, you choose from several skins to make your poll look better and the size as well. The free account has a 100 monthly polls limit.
  2. Question of The Day. After entering the poll details, grab the code for yor Tumblr post or sidebar. No need for sign ups.
  3. Modpoll. Modpoll doesn’t need you to registrate on the site, just follow the link above, enter the question and the option, and then you get the embed code for your post or sidebar. You don’t need to come back to the site since the information shows up after the user chooses an option.

How to Add The Poll Plugin Code To Tumblr.

  1. Go To Customize >> Paste the Poll Embed Code in the Description Box (doesn’t matter if you already have other stuff in there, just make sure you put it at the beginning or at the very end, so that the poll code doesn’t get mixed with other code snippets.).
  2. Save and Close

Correction for the Polldaddy link – there are no limits on polls. The 100 responses refers to surveys, which is another thing entirely.

For best results when using Polldaddy polls, copy the JavaScript that Polldaddy provides and place it within paragraph tags in the HTML.

ModPoll has changed their policies. From their web site:

NOTICE FOR MEMBERS! Thanks for trying out the free version of modpoll.com! We hope you like it and will consider signing up with one of our plans. You may have noticed that Free Member accounts can no longer save polls. Additionally, polls created at the Free Member level will be deleted. We apologize for any inconveniece but unfortunately the Free level of service is taking up too many resources for us to continue it. Thanks again for trying modpoll.com.

    Plans are $30/$125/$250

    Just FYI.

Flipter has direct integration with tumblr. You create your poll on http://www.flipter.com and it instantly share you poll on Tumblr in your Tumblr post. Your poll can include images, videos and a link to your post. Further more it helps you poll and content go viral. Let aside it gives you reports in real-time of those voting on you poll.
