We published several articles in the past that wrote about finding out who unfollowed you on Tumblr. But since all of the tumblr follower checker scripts no longer work (due to Tumblr changing their API policy) we decided to feature to tumblr follower trackers that actually work, XKit and Unfollower Hater.
This list of addons to track followers on tumblr does not include the hugely popular Missing-E, since they eliminitated the unfollower tracker feature as well from their App.
TumblrStalkr has been redesigned and it’s working well again, it should be the best since it works on all browsers
Check out the the scripts below and installation instructions.
Tumblr Follower Tracker Extension Scripts List
Both tumblr follower checkers below are greasemonkey scripts. So you MUST download and install firefox first in order to make them work. Once you have Firefox up and running, go here and install greasemonkey. Reset Firefox and visit the links below to add each follower checker, you will have to restart Firefox again to make the extension work properly. And even though these scripts are said to work for Opera and Safari as well, Firefox is the most stable option so far.
- XKit – Tumblr Follower Addon
- Unfollower Hater – Tumblr Follower Extension
Once you have installed greasemonkey and restarted firefox, visit XKit page and click on the button install. There’s even a discussion forum where you can leave a message and get support if Xkit is not working.
Another very popular script where you can track followers that don’t you anylonger. It’s called Unfollower Hater. Some people complaint that the this checker script is not so accurate, and that is the case since it’s just a page scraper, and not a Tumblr App, so they don’t have access to the most updated information on who stopped following you. But it’s good enough to have been installed more than 100K times though.
Tumblr Follower Checker for Chrome?
The only one follower tracker that works on Chrome is the one called TumblrStalkr. It’s a Tumblr App, so it means not only that it’s safe, but also that works on the whole range of browsers (Aurora and Opera as well), you need to be logged in to tumblr before allowing the app into your account.
It tracks your whole account, both main and seconcary blogs.
Missing-E follower checker used to work with Chrome, but as they say in their FAQs page the unfollower tracker does not work any longer since the Tumblr API prohibits them to use certain features. And even if you installing an older version, it’s highly unstable.
