Can’t Unfollow Deleted Tumblr Blogs

Hi,there are people with no url under my “following XXX people”, and I can’t unfollow them. Whenever I click unfollow a box pops up telling me there’s tech difficulty and to try again later. I was wondering is there a way to unfollow these blank blogs?

This is not your fault at all, and has nothing to do with your theme, the thing is, you just need to be patient until Tumblr updates their database and syncs follows and inexistent tumblr accounts. Check a week later and before that, clear your browser’s cookies and cache.

I’m following people that deleted, but when I click on their icon, it doesn’t open to the old blog, it opens http://.tumblr.com. Tumblr doesn’t let me unfollow them. Is there a way I can do this?

I have the same problem.
One of the blogs has been deleted for a long time so I don’t think that it has to do with Tumblr having to update their database?
Does clearing the cookies & cache of my browser remove these blogs from my ‘Following’ list?

I have cleared the cookies and cache on my brower, and it’s been several months, and these deleted blogs still show up on my follow list. I once saw a post of how to delete them by typing in the appropriate URLs (which aren’t accessible by clicking on things), but I can’t find this post now. This issue’s been going on for at least 8 months, and no good fixes turn up in Google, even.
