Can’t Login to Tumblr with Firefox

If you are having trouble logging in to your Tumblr account when using Firefox (even when you know that password and username are correct), the problem is always related to two main things; Cookies and Firefox Version. What could also happen is that once you are inside Tumblr Dashboard, you get logged out to the loging screen again, or when trying to perform anything there you get the message “Please make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser”.  Read the tutorial below to fix the Tumblr Firefox loging Issue.

Can’t Login to Tumblr with Firefox – Solution.

  1. Download the latest Firefox Version here.
  2. Once installed, go to Tools and choose Clear Recent History, Check all Items and Delete the entire range of data.
  3. Now it’s time to check how cookies are configured.  Go to Tools >> Options.
  4. Select the Privacy Tab, from the dropdown menu, choose Firefox Will: Use Custom Settings for History
  5. Check Accept Cookies from All Sites and also Accept Third Party Cookies.  From the dropdown menu, choose Keep Until: They Expire
  6. Now, click on exceptions, and verify that Tumblr.com is not in the list.
  7. Click OK to close the window.

If you keep having issues to sign in to Tumblr with Firefox after taking all these steps, leave a message describing your problem.

I really can’t login to tumblr.

My friend logged out of my tumblr to log into hers. She couldn’t login

I tried, and I couldn’t login either. Everything I enter my email and password it redirects me to the login page.

I tried logging in on all my browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome) but I can’t login on any of them.

I already tried clearing history and cookies and everything else I could find when I searched.

    What should I do?

Hello. I have followed all the instructions how to solve the problem of logging to Tumblr with Firefox but still no success. Immediately after clearing cache and cookies I get access to the loggin page, but as soon as i input the data and click loggin button – i get to see “the page isn’t redirecting properly” page again. after that I can’t even see the loggin page again (http://www.tumblr.com/suspended)
I have no problems loggin to other sites. I tried to loggin with other browsers (IE, Chrome) but get the same result.
    Please help!

Still not working.. it won’t let me log in and when i go on “forgot my password” and enter my e-mail address, they say that i am not in their system. But I am, since i can log in at work, on a pc, on Internet Explorer. Here I am on an MAC, trying to get on with firefox or Safari.

    I’ve tried everything…

I had this problem for ages. Followed every instruction I could Bing (Not a google user, dont like to be tracked). I finally solved it by pausing Ghostery. Seems to prevent Tumblr for logging in. Hope this way is useful to some of ye.

Doesn’t work for me. I was originally using Internet Explorer and Tumblr always used to work for me, then recently when i tried to log in it opened a new window and asked me to download a file. Then I downloaded Firefox, it worked fine until recently, when i type all my stuff in, the box log in box shakes and refreshes.

This has been regular ever since they updated their site.

I used to be able to use tumblr. but since my computer crased and its all kind of reset it does not work anymore. I followed all instructions above. But it still does not work. Whenever I delete my history and cookies and all I can access the first page. When I click log in then and give in my stuff to finally log in it always says “Not found. We couldn’t find the page you were looking for. Find out why you may have encountered this error.” when I click that then it only shows lots of cryptic writing that does not make any sense to me…
Does anyone have an idea what to do? I really miss my tumblr….
    Thanx

I did what you said but it doesn’t work at all :( It seems like the site won’t even respond to me clicking on the login button because even if I put the wrong data in, it won’t do anything. It doesn’t even load or tell me I used the wrong password.

    I have this problem I can’t solve!
Everytime I try to log in on tumblr it ALWAYS redirects me to the log in page! I tried all the browsers, I tried with google to find a soltution but nothing works! Also the cookies and everything! what’s the problem? and the thing is that it works in other computers, just not on mine! that is so since yesterday. I tried everything, I’m desperate.
